  BREAKING NEWS!
Riders have a choice to enter the THREE Day Dr Evil Classic that starts in Wittedrift just outside of Plettenberg Bay on Friday 21st September 2012. This event has the Karoo to Coast as Day Three. Dr Evil who is presently cutting the ABSA CAPE Epic routes has promised that the first two days(70km and 90km) respectively are for the normal rider as well as the hardcore cyclist. Riders may also choose to enter the Karoo to Coast as A ONE DAY event as they have done in the past.

The Pennypinchers Die Burger Lions Karoo to Coast Mountain Bike Challenge event is owned by the Lions Clubs of Knysna and Uniondale. The event is organized by Zandile Meneses - Headstrong Productions - Queries Zandile 082 851 3622

All proceeds in aid of Lions "SightFirst" for sight restoration operations for the poor.

The Lions Karoo to Coast is a 100km offroad race from UNIONDALE to KNYSNA via the Prince Alfred's Pass 100 km offroad Race and is not for the faint-hearted !!!

REGISTRATION:

Date - Saturday 22nd September 2012 in Uniondale from 15:00 – 21:00
Late registration (NO ENTRIES) 06:00 – 06:45 Sunday 23rd September 2012
Entry fee for the Pennypinchers Die Burger Karoo to Coast is R290.00

What to carry on the route:

Riders are encouraged to take sufficient energy bars/food for your estimated time in the saddle. Please carry at least two full water bottles with your drink of choice and preferably a full “Camelbak” if you have one. Riders should be able to fix a puncture and may want to carry their cellphones. If you are allergic to any medication etc – please indicate this on your person when riding. There will be 8 waterpoints on the route.
