Lions Karoo to Coast – Message from the Lions of Uniondale and Knysna

We appreciate all the support and understanding that we have received from the K2C riders in the last hours since the event was cancelled by the George Municipality’s Disaster Management.

The Lions of Knysna and Uniondale will determine a plan of action in terms of some sort of compensation for entrants and ask for patience in this regard. We need to assess all the expenses that have gone into event preparation over the past year by the NPO and the financial implication of it being cancelled at such a late stage.

We will communicate this and the options / workable solutions via email to the riders with regards to their purchased merchandise in the next few days. There will be no registration or merchandise pick up in Uniondale on the the 23rd or 24th September 2023. If you purchased an MTB board with your entry, you will be able to collect it at the next Finish Time MTB timed event.

In the interim – waterpoint product and the Saturday night meal prepared by the Lions will be allocated to local old age homes, schools and shelters in the area.
